Spotlight On: Coach of the Month Amr, Director of Squash, Charlotte Squash Club

Amr has served at the highest levels of international and Egyptian Squash for over a decade. After a successful individual playing career of being top 3 ranked in Egypt and top 5 worldwide as a junior, Amr transitioned into a Squash Coaching career in his home country Egypt, which is widely regarded as the most dominant squash nation in the world. From 2009 to 2011, Amr served as a member of the coaching staff of the Egyptian National Squash Team.  In this role, he led the team to international success.

He has also been coaching at several of Egypt’s most successful  and prestigious sporting clubs.  In addition, he is the founder and owner of Squash Kings, which has developed a reputation for running elite squash academies throughout Egypt and for managing the careers of top squash players. Amr has also made himself an asset to elite junior squash in the United States since arriving here in 2017.  He has worked for top squash academies, including Tuckahoe Squash in NY and AussieNick Squash in NC and has produced nationally ranked junior players who will serve as future competitors. Since his arrival as the Squash Director for Charlotte Squash Club in 2019, he raised the awareness of the sport in Charlotte and many new programs have been introduced, including four private schools, Davidson College Club Team, and top-ranked national players in the U.S.
